at Ruthy's (inside the Hillcrest Plaza)
at 229 Clark Ave.,
Yuba City, CA.
with a buffet dinner (barbequed trip tip, chicken, kielbasa sausage,
baked salmon and more).
It will be $25 a person and $20 for those that want an 8x10 class
(group) picture.
Our mail-out will include reservation form and a list of near-by
hotels/motels/RV parks.

Sandra Brubaker Shepherd, 67, of Sutter passed away February 20, 2012 at Rideout Memorial Hospital in Marysville. Sandra was born July 14, 1944 in Oroville, CA. She was a lifelong Sutter County resident and graduate of Live Oak High School. After 30 years of service Sandra retired from the U.S. Postal Service, where she worked as a control officer out of Marysville. Sandra is survived by her son Richard Pippin of Yuba City, daughter Deborah Pippin (Gregory Stangl) of San Francisco, grandchildren Evan, Meyer and Linden Stangl. She is also survived by her husband, Phillip Shepherd, his three daughters Pam, Cheryl and Stephanie and their children. Sandra is preceded in death by her father George Brubaker, mother Josephine Cason, step-father Coy Cason and brother Thomas Brubaker. Sandra was a gifted artist who enjoyed painting, sculpting, drawing and writing. She was the published author of California Heartland : A Pictorial History and Tour Guide of Eight Northern California Counties. She also wrote California Chinese - A Bitter Sweet Journey. She was active in scrap booking, chronicling her many journeys and family geneology. She was a collector and designer of hand-made teddy bears. Sandra was the founding member of Rural Artisans craft fair, an organization she co-ran for 25 years. Sandra touched many lives with her unyielding generosity and support. She was an active fundraiser for needy causes and a committed member of the Live Oak Church of the Brethren. The family gives special thanks to their church family and Sandra's friends for their tremendous love and support. Memorial Services will be Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 11:00am at the Live Oak Church of the Brethren 1990 Archer Ave Live Oak, CA. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation be made to either the Live Oak Church of the Brethren (address above) or Casa de Esperanza, one of Sandra's beloved charitable organizations at PO Box 56, Yuba City, CA 95982.
